The Gunners tried to keep up with the tempo against Jurgen Klopp’s charges but ultimately succumbed as they fell to a four nil defeat courtesy of goals from Sadio Mané, Diogo Jota, Mohammed Salah and Takumi Minamino.

What were the takes from last night’s humbling defeat at Liverpool?

Arsenal not yet at par with the title challengers:

The premier league has witnessed a duopoly in the past couple of years or more as Pep Guardiola’s Man City and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool have asserted their dominance when it comes to conversations of who goes home with the premier league title at the end of the day.

In the past four seasons, Man City have won the premier league thrice with Liverpool winning it once and one thing has always been certain in those seasons and that is Liverpool and Man City finishing inside the top two of the premier league, save for 2018 when Man Utd finished second ahead of Liverpool in third.

Last night, Liverpool showed why they have been able to rival Man City for the premier league title as they completely outclassed Arsenal last night. The Gunners tried to match them in the early stages but just couldn’t keep up with the energy as the game unfolded.

Liverpool were obviously more organized, concentrated and experienced and this showed in the end result.

Aaron Ramsdale is a big Arsenal player for both now and the future:

Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale was arguably the man of the match last night.

The Englishman pulled off a couple of brilliant saves to deny Sadio Mané early in the game followed by a stunning save to deny Trent Alexander-Arnold later on. A performance that continued into the second half and I doubt if any goalkeeper in the world would be able to do anything about the four goals he conceded.

Ramsdale has proven a lot of people wrong with his recent performances and if his fine form continues he’s bound to be a major contributor to Arsenal’s future successes.
