Turkish businessman suggests Chelsea takeover as he promises to ‘fly the Turkish flag in London’

It’s no longer news that Russian billionaire Roman Abrahmovich has put his club, Chelsea up for sale amidst incessant threats of sanction by the UK government following Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Abrahmovich is currently receiving bids to sell Chelsea and several billionaires from around the world have shown interest so far with the latest interest coming from Turkey.

According to Yeni Safak via Simon Philips, Muhsin Bayrak, a Turkish businessman with investments in London, has made an offer to buy Chelsea.

Bayrak was quoted thus: “We are discussing the terms of Chelsea’s purchase with Roman Abramovich’s lawyers. We’re negotiating signatures. We will soon fly the Turkish flag in London.”

Muhsin Bayrak is said to be the Chairman of the AB Group Holding, and has an alleged net worth of $11 Billion. Per Anthony Chapman of Sun Online.

Also according to unconfirmed reports, the Turkish businessman is owns Turkish club Kasimpasa amongst other investments.

Roman Abrahmovich values Chelsea at over £2 billion and he would reportedly be receiving bids until the end of this week.
