22-year old Chelsea forward Kai Havertz has been in terrific form lately.

The German who is regularly deployed as a false 9 seems to be keeping record signing Romelu Lukaku on the bench with the Belgian starting just once in Chelsea’s last three games.

Havertz scored the opening goal for Chelsea in the first leg of the champions league round of 16 against Lille about a couple of weeks ago and that was followed by a masterclasses performance against Liverpool in the Carabao Cup final last week Sunday.

The striker was rested for last midweek’s FA Cup tie against Luton but he returned in full force on Saturday with a brace and a brilliant performance against Burnley, little wonder coach Thomas Tuchel is full of praise for the German international.

With Kai Havertz’ latest form, there is just no way Thomas Tuchel would keep him on the bench in Chelsea’s upcoming games and this presents a worry for the struggling Romelu Lukaku except the gaffer finds a way of playing both players together.
