“I had my battles with Patrick Vieira, I think this kid has got a chance of matching when Vieira used to do. Because he is strong, aggressive and he likes to pass it forward.
“He looks comfortable on the ball. His composure, a good first touch… and maintaining possession, that is the name of the game.”
The Gunners will need the experienced midfielder to find similar form that he showed that day during the remainder of the campaign as the north Londoners look to finish in the top four for the first time since 2016.
