The two things Takehiro Tomiyasu must improve following summer Arsenal transfer

Former Arsenal right-back Lee Dixon has praised an “excellent” start for summer signing Takehiro Tomiyasu at the Emirates Stadium, but believes the full-back can improve defensively.

Tomiyasu, 23, joined the Gunners on transfer deadline day in August for roughly £17million from Serie A side Bologna.

The Japan international has made 15 appearances in the Premier League so far this season, often linking up well from the back and operating as a third centre-back while either Kieran Tierney or Nuno Tavares offer width on the left.
