Smith Rowe Set To Return To Starting XI – How Arsenal Could Line Up Against Leeds

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta could welcome Emile Smith Rowe back into his starting XI for this weekend’s Premier League fixture against Leeds.

Smith Rowe was rested on the bench midweek in the 2-0 victory over West Ham, but it was actually the England international who came on as a substitute to score the second goal late on to clinch all three points for the Gunners.

He may come in to replace Gabriel Martinelli, who picked up a slight knock versus West Ham.

The Brazilian opened the scoring against the Hammers, but it remains to be seen if the injury picked up will keep him out of the Leeds game.

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has recently been exiled from the squad and stripped of the captaincy due to ongoing disciplinary issues.

Even if he returns to the squad against Leeds, it is unlikely he will start.

Bernd Leno and Sead Kolasinac are the only confirmed absentees for Arsenal.

Aaron Ramsdale will start in behind a likely back four of Takehiro Tomiyasu, Ben White, Gabriel and Kieran Tierney.

Thomas Partey and Granit Xhaka will continue as the two central midfielders.

Bukayo Saka, Martin Odegaard and Smith Rowe will start in the attacking midfield spots, with Alexandre Lacazette leading the line.
