Serie A giants prepare summer move for €70 million Chelsea star

20-year old Albanian striker Armando Broja has been a revelation this season. The player on loan at Southampton from Chelsea has scored nine goals and provided one assist in 31 appearances for the Saints this season and with his stock on the rise, he has attracted interests from several teams across Europe.

The latest interest comes from AC Milan who are reportedly interested in signing the Cobham Academy graduate valued at €70 million this summer.

“Before the tragic events between Russia and Ukraine that prompted the British government to sanction Abramovich, Milan were monitoring the situation,” said journalist Carlo Pelegatti to  Radio Rossonera as quoted by Sport Witness.

“I’m told the player is valued at €70 million. I don’t exclude that Milan could have taken him on loan. As of today, however, Milan is very cautious on the subject: the situation has become complicated.

“The Rossoneri management cannot wait for Chelsea’s corporate evolution: if a new ownership and new managers arrive, Milan could return Broja.

The coming transfer window promises to be a tricky one for Chelsea as a lot of clubs including Southampton would be testing the Blues resolve for the striker. Would they stand their ground and keep him? That is yet to be known.
