The Spaniard joined the Blues looking to revive his once blossoming career that once saw him rated as one of the best young midfielders in the world.

The loan move to Chelsea hasn’t quite gone as expected and the Spain international is frustrated, as per the Sun. Saúl has only started one premier league game for Chelsea this season which was back in September where he was substituted at halftime in the Blues’ 3-0 win over Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.

Saúl was very poor on his premier league debut and his chances have been very limited in the Chelsea team since then. The Spaniard has started only two games apart from his debut and those other two starts came in the two Carabao Cup matches Chelsea have played this season.

According to the Sun, Saúl and his family are enjoying life in London even though the move from the Spanish capital hasn’t quite gone as expected. The midfielder is nevertheless surprised at the very limited chances he’s gotten at Chelsea and is hoping it changes soon.

The Telegraph also reports that Saúl wants to use the international break to work his way from the fringes at Chelsea and the midfielder is not contemplating a return to Atletico in January.

Whatever the circumstance is after the international break, Saúl would have to work as hard as possible to get into a star studded Chelsea midfield comprising of N’golo Kanté and Jorginho alongside Matteo Kovacic who was in red-hot form before sustaining an injury. There’s also the very talented Ruben Loftus-Cheek who has already started to assert himself as a force to reckon with in the Chelsea midfield.
