Salah-Eddine, Omar Rekik and four Arsenal youngsters closest to Mikel Arteta’s first team squad

Mikel Arteta will give youngsters a chance in the second half of the season after failing to make any first team signings in the January transfer window

Arsenal’s first team squad looks thinner than ever after a January transfer window which saw zero additions to the current senior set-up.

Gunners boss Mikel Arteta and technical director Edu wanted to bring in a striker and central midfielder but couldn’t land their top targets as the window closed on Monday night.

It could well mean that several youngsters could be set for their chance in the first team, depending on injuries and player availability in the upcoming Premier League games for the Gunners, who still have a chance of making the top four this season.
