Sky Sports pundit and Man Utd legend Roy Keane has highlighted Arsenal’s defensive issues after their 3-2 win over Watford at Vicarage Road yesterday.
The Gunners who have been on an unbeaten streak climbed above Man Utd to fourth yesterday despite having three games in hand and they sure look on course to finish in the champions league places come the end of the season but Roy Keane thinks Mikel Arteta hasn’t fully fixed his side’s defensive problems yet as according to the pundit, the Arsenal players could have done better in preventing Moussa Sissoko from scoring Watford’s second goal which had resulted in a nervy ending to the game.
Speaking on Sky Sports as quoted by football.london, Keane said: “This is Arsenal, poor defending, White has to do better there and it’s a problem for them (conceding late).”
football.london went further to prove matter-of-factly that conceding late goals has been the bane in Arsenal’s season so far with Mikel Arteta’s charges conceding 14 out of 29 goals not earlier than the 70th minute.
Arsenal can however head into their ucoming games with confidence knowing they have gained the initiative in the top four race with a three game and a point advantage over rivals Manchester United.
