Revealed: Lukaku told what to do in order to get back into Chelsea side

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel made a huge call on Sunday as he dropped club record signing Romelu Lukaku from the Blues squad that hosted Liverpool in an entertaining 2-2 draw.

Lukaku in an interview released a few days ago by Sky Italia made some controversial comments that angered the Chelsea board and coach Thomas Tuchel as he spoke about being unhappy at Chelsea and a potential return to former club Inter Milan while faulting Tuchel’s system.

After missing the game against Liverpool, it was feared that Lukaku might have played his last game for Chelsea but according to reports that emerged in the early hours of Monday, there was still hope for Lukaku as he was to hold face to face talks with Thomas Tuchel on the situation.

The talks which also involved Chelsea director Marina Granovskaia were fruitful according to numerous reports and Lukaku could make the Chelsea squad against Tottenham in the Carabao Cup on Wednesday as he trained with his Chelsea teammates yesterday.

According to MailSport, Lukaku’s comments have not gone down well with majority of the Chelsea squad and they feel the Belgian striker should not get away without any formal punishment.

The Telegraph however reports that the situation can be mended with Lukaku offering a public apology to the club and various reports suggest that Chelsea have no intentions of selling the striker amidst the controversy.
