Influential right wing-back Reece James has been ruled out of Chelsea’s premier league clash with Norwich City scheduled for tomorrow night.
It comes as a huge setback for both Chelsea and the Englishman as he had just returned from a hamstring injury that kept him out for two months.
James was substituted in Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Burnley last weekend after scoring the opener and providing an assist for Chelsea’s third and Thomas Tuchel confirmed earlier today that the defender did pick up a knock in the match.
Thomas Tuchel: “We felt it during the match because it didn’t get better so we are worried. So we need further examinations. It’s obvious what he does and can give the team, so not good news at the moment. Setback for sure, I hope not a big one.”
Chelsea fans would be hoping that Reece James isn’t ruled out for too long and the player himself has sent a message to the fans through his Instagram story with the words: “patience is key. Everything happens for a reason. See you soon,..”
It’s quite a reassuring message from James and the Blues faithful would definitely be excited if one of their star players is back in the squad as soon as possible ahead of their upcoming fixtures.
