Arsenal are looking to do some great business in the coming transfer windows. Little wonder there’s been lot of transfer stories surrounding the club in recent weeks.
With players running out of contracts and a few players leaving for the African Cup of Nations in January, certainly there’d be some gaps in the Arsenal team very soon and Mikel Arteta’s men need not be caught napping.
The Gunners have been linked with some big names so far and just recently, it has been reported that Arsenal are interested in signing US international Tyler Adams from RB Leipzig. Per SportsBILD.
The German media outlet reports that the versatile Tyler Adams is a key target for Arsenal and an offer could be made for the American in January.
Arsenal were initially in signing Adams in the summer as Mikel Arteta hoped to play the Leipzig star as an inverted right-back in his system but the Gunners eventually settled for Takehiro Tomiyasu who arrived from Italy.
Adams’ versatility means he can also play as a defensive or central midfielder. Hence, this signing could make a whole lot of sense given that the likes of Mohammed Elneny and Thomas Partey would be leaving in January to represent Egypt and Ghana respectively in the African Cup of Nations.
