PSG defender Presenel Kimpembe has been linked with a move to Chelsea.
This link is being fuelled by a report made by French publication L’Equipe who made a behind the scenes report on the state of affairs at PSG.
The media outlet did reveal that Chelsea were interested in Brazilian defender Marquinhos in the summer but the deal eventually fell through.
L’Equipe has further revealed that French defender Presenel Kimpembe has wondered if the grass is not greener at Chelsea.
Things are not currently as they were for Kimpembe this season due to the changes at the helm of the club earlier this year.
Thomas Tuchel got sacked by PSG last December and he joined Chelsea about a month later to replace Frank Lampard as manager and he helped push Chelsea to a top four finish and a champions league trophy by the end of the season and Tuchel’s presence at the club is tempting Kimpembe to make the switch from Paris to the West London as per L’Equipe via Sport Witness.
Chelsea are still yet to resolve the contract issues in their defence with four of their defenders out of contract by the end of the season. Hence, a shock move for Kimpembe could well be on the cards.
