Arsenal are currently in search of a striker after letting Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang leave for Barcelona in January.
The futures of Alexander Lacazette and Eddie Nketiah being in doubt due to their contracts expiring in the summer also leaves the striking department at Arsenal in dire need of reinforcements and the Gunners had tried to sign Dusan Vlahovic from Florentina in January but the Serbian opted to remain in Italy and sign for Juventus instead.
Names like Raul De Tomas and Alexander Isak emerged as prime targets after the Vlahovic deal fell through, with rumours linking Arsenal to the latter continuing to linger up until recently.
23-year old Nigerian sensation Victor Osimhen is now another name that has been linked and according to reports, Napoli have named their asking price for the striker.
In a report by football.london, they quoted NapoliGazetta dello Sport via Sport Witness to say that Napoli have placed a price tag of £84 million on the former Lille striker who has so far caught the eye in Naples since joining the club at the beginning of last season.
Osimhen had once turned down an opportunity to join Arsenal during the early stages of his career as a teenager but the Nigeria international is most likely now matured enough to be willing to accept the challenge if Arsenal eventually make an offer.
Of course, the Gunners could face competition from the likes of Man Utd who could be in the market for a striker should Cristiano Ronaldo leave in the summer.
