Michael Owen believes if Arsenal can secure three points against Crystal Palace on Monday, then they can “start thinking about a top-six push”.
The Gunners currently sit in 13th place in the Premier League table, with Mikel Arteta’s men having 10 points to their name after the opening seven matches of the season.
Arteta witnessed his team lose their opening three matches of the campaign – with Arsenal conceding nine goals, without scoring one, in defeats to Brentford, Chelsea and Manchester City.
However, since then, the Gunners have recorded 10 points after three successive victories and a draw with Brighton just before the latest international break.
Arteta will be desperate to secure European football at the Emirates Stadium this season and to do that, they need to beat Crystal Palace on Monday evening, according to former Liverpool striker Owen.
