Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta thinks that Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder Ruben Neves is ‘key’ to his rebuilding plans at the Emirates Stadium, according to The Sun.
The report in the British tabloid has claimed that Arsenal want to sign Neves, who is valued at £50 million by Premier League rivals Wolves.
Wolves, though, have opened talks with the Portugal international midfielder over a new deal.
Manchester United, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are also keen on Neves, according to The Sun.
Neves would make Arsenal better
In our view, Neves would be a very good signing for Arsenal and would make the Gunners better and stronger in the middle of the park.
Described as “sensational” by former Manchester United defender and Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville on Sky Sports Premier League (7:29pm, March 18, 2022), Neves is a very dynamic and combative midfielder who can hold his own in the middle of the park.
The Wolves no. 8 has has made 26 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this season.
The Portuguese midfielder has scored four goals and given two assists in those matches.
The Gunners could end up in the Premier League top four this season, and that, in our view, would be appealing to Neves.
