Mikel Arteta reveals how Storm Eunice has affected Arsenal’s training plans ahead of Brentford

Arsenal's preparations for Saturday's Premier League clash against Brentford have been disrupted slightly with Storm Eunice hitting various parts of England

Storm Eunice has been causing havoc in the UK today, disrupting Arsenal’s training plans ahead of the Brentford clash in the process.

Described by BBC Weather as one of the worst storms in decades, it has resulted in The Met Office issuing red weather warnings – meaning there is a danger to life – covering much of southern and eastern England and south Wales.

The storm has already caused high winds which has led to power cuts, flight cancellations, hundreds of school closures, and a number of major bridges being closed.

“We know that Gabi [Gabriel Martinelli] is out with the red card he picked up against Wolves and the rest of the players are OK.”

“Yes, he [Leno] is fine, he recovered well, he didn’t have too many symptoms, he’s been training the last few days and he felt good.

“He will be available.”
