Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette is one of the players most likely to leave the Emirates very soon.
The Frenchman’s contract with Arsenal expires at the end of the season and he has reportedly rejected the Gunners’ contract extension proposal despite Mikel Arteta’s desire to keep him at the club beyond this season, as per L’Equipe via Forza Italian Football.
Italian giants Juventus are said to be interested in Lacazette as they hope to strengthen their attack which has struggled with injuries and inconsistency and the Bianconnerri are hoping that thr Arsenal number 9 would help ease the burden on Alvaro Morata and Paulo Dybala.
Lacazette is currently one of Arsenal’s most important players and the 30-year old has been captaining the Gunners ever since Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang got frozen out following a disciplinary breach.
Amongst the players linked with an exit from Arsenal, Lacazette is the one whom the the Gunners’ faithful would least prefer to leave the club given the role he’s played in the club’s recent form.
Since joining Arsenal from Olympique Lyonnaise in 2017, Lacazette has scored 72 times and provided 32 assists in 187 games and he’s still rated highly by some sections of the Arsenal fan base despite scoring just three goals in 14 premier league appearances this season.
