The English Premier League returns this weekend with another round of exciting matches, including a clash between Fulham and Manchester United at Craven Cottage on Sunday.
As the ninth-placed team in the standings, Fulham has had an impressive season so far but will need to bounce back from their narrow 2-1 defeat to Manchester City last week.
On the other hand, Manchester United, currently in fifth place in the league table, is starting to find their rhythm under the leadership of Erik ten Hag.
The Red Devils are coming off a 4-2 victory against Aston Villa in their previous game and will be looking to replicate that success this weekend. Manchester United has a solid track record against Fulham, having won 52 out of the 86 matches played between the two teams, compared to Fulham’s 14 victories.
Fulham has won only two of their last 25 matches against Manchester United in the Premier League and has been winless in their last 13 such matches in the competition.
Meanwhile, Manchester United has won their last five Premier League away games against Fulham, which is more victories than they had managed in the 10 such matches before this run. Manchester United has lost only one of their last 18 matches against newly-promoted sides in the Premier League, with their previous defeat coming against Watford last year.
Fulham has only lost one of their seven Premier League games at Craven Cottage this season and has managed to win three of these matches. However, Manchester United has improved under Ten Hag this season and bounced back against Aston Villa in the Carabao Cup.
The Red Devils have a strong squad and will need to work hard to secure their place in the top four. Fulham has surpassed expectations this season and is capable of causing upsets, which could make for an interesting match.
