Liverpool have received a major injury boost ahead of their crunch tie against Arsenal on Saturday.
The Reds are boosted by the return of star player Sadio Mane who returns to training amidst fears that he’d be out for a longer period after sustaining an injury on his rib during the international break.
The Liverpool number 10 got substituted just 28 minutes into Senegal’s world cup qualifier against Togo last Thursday after having an issue with his rib as he had to return to Liverpool after doing an x-ray.
Mane’s withdrawal from the game against Togo and ultimately the Senegalese squad was said to be a precautionary measure and the Senegal international returned to full contact training with his teammates on Tuesday afternoon.
Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson has also returned to training after withdrawing from England’s squad to face San Marino due to injury and his return is major news for Liverpool ahead of this weekend.
Veteran midfielder James Milner was also spotted in training in the Liverpool training facility for the first time since the injury he sustained in Liverpool’s 5-0 demolition of Man Utd at Old Trafford in October and young midfielder Harvey Elliot is another name that could be making a return soon as the Liverpool star was pictured training for the first time since he sustained a horrific ankle injury against Leeds earlier this season.
As things stand, Sadio Mane is the most primed for a return this weekend as Jordan Henderson, James Milner, and Harvey Elliot are still yet to return to full contact training.
