It’s no longer news that Florentina striker Dusan Vlahovic is on the radar of premier league club Arsenal.
The Serbian has caught the eye this year and has taken the Italian Serie A by storm, breaking Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of 33 goals in a calendar year.
Arsenal’s intentions for Dusan Vlahovic is very obvious as they’d need to sign a striker to fill in the void that could be left by the departure of Alexandre Lacazette whose contract expires next summer but reports emerging from Italy suggest that Vlahovic’s agents have refused to talk to Arsenal or even answer their calls.
Arsenal would like to do a deal for Vlahovic in January but according to Gazetta dello Sport via Sport Witness, the Serie A marksman is not interested in leaving Florentina this January and he favours a summer exit instead as he wants to help La Viola secure a place in Europe next season.
Also, the prospect of joining Serie A suitors Juventus is said to be quite tempting for Vlahovic but Florentina would rather sell him to another club. Arsenal would now hope they fend off competition from other suitors next summer as they’re already willing to pay the €80 million price tag slapped on the prolific forward.
