Manchester United are currently in the hunt for a new manager after sacking Ole Gunnar Solskjaer following their 4-1 defeat in the hands of Watford on Saturday.
A lot of managers have been linked with the vacant position at Man Utd and it’s just a matter of time before the Man Utd hierachy find Solskjaer’s replacement.
Ralph Ragnick, Luis Enrique Steve Bruce, Erik Ten Haag, Zinedine Zidane and Mauricio Pochettino are the names that have been linked to the job but as things stand, Mauricio Pochettino currently leads the race as the likes of Zinedine Zidane and Luis Enrique have been reported to be uninterested.
Pochettino is said to be ready to leave his role at PSG manager and take over as Man Utd manager and he has always dreamt of coaching Man Utd one day.
According to reports, there is a growing feeling at PSG that one of Man Utd’s top targets Zinedine Zidane will take over as manager. Hence, Pochettino is in prime position to become United’s new manager in the coming days.
It won’t be easy to price the Argentine out of his current contract at PSG though as it would reportedly cost Man Utd £18 million to both pay for Solskjaer’s compensation and hire Pochettino.
If reports making the rounds in the UK are true, then Pochettino will be Man Utd coach very soon and some of the current coaching staff would still have to leave Man Utd in order to create room for the coaching staff Pochettino is going to bring in.
