Burnley proved unbreakable in the first half as Chelsea couldn’t quite find their rhythm and the Clarets could have even gone ahead on a few occasions had they been more clinical and precise in the final third.

Chelsea returned with fire in the second half though, as they scored three goals in just the space of eighth minutes to stun Burnley.

A lot of credit must actually be given to Thomas Tuchel as his tactical switch at halftime made things easier for Chelsea;

Chelsea started with a front three of Mason Mount, Kai Havertz, and Christian Pulisic but the trio didn’t quite get into the groove in the first half but Tuchel decided to switch things a little bit as he brought Mount deeper to make a midfield three in the second half.

Mount’s influence from midfield helped Chelsea find their mojo and this resulted in a flurry of chances and goals within the first ten minutes of the second half as Burnley just couldn’t cope with the movements of the Chelsea players.

Reece James scored the opener which was then followed by a quick-fire double by Kai Havertz before Christian Pulisic put the icing on the cake with Chelsea’s fourth.
