Who isn’t a fan of young English midfielder Conor Gallagher at this point?
Gallagher joined Crystal Palace on loan from Chelsea last summer and has caught the eye with his performances at South London, becoming one of the premier league revelations of the season.
Back to back call-ups to the England national team has further boosted the profile of Conor Gallagher and Chelsea could be tempted with offers for the Cobham Academy graduate this summer.
While the early signs suggest the Blues are ready to integrate the midfielder into their first team next season, clubs like AS Roma are still interested in trying for a loan deal, as per Gazetta dello Sport via Sport Witness.
According to reports Conor Gallagher’s future would be decided in June and AS Roma coach Jose Mourinho is particularly keen on having the player as the former Blues boss believes he ‘combines physicality and quality’ in equal measure.
The ball is still in Chelsea’s court as they could do whatever they wish with the player but it is understood that a sale is completely out of the equation as things stand. Even another loan spell outside the club doesn’t seem like a possibility at this point but anything could still happen between now and the end of the season.
