Chelsea take the trip to Leicester to face Brendan Rodgers’ Leicester City in Saturday’s early kick-off.
The Blues have had their injury woes in the past few weeks but the international break presented a good opportunity for Thomas Tuchel’s side to welcome some key players.
England midfielder Mason Mount pulled out of the Three Lions squad in the just concluded internationals following the removal of his wisdom teeth but the 22-year old is now back in full training and presumably fit to face Leicester City.
The Blues also welcome back Romelu Lukaku and Timo Werner who have missed the last three weeks of footballing action with ankle and hamstring injuries.
Romelu Lukaku confirmed his return to full fitness a couple of days back while Timo Werner was pictured training alongside his Chelsea teammates earlier today.
More good news for Chelsea is the fact that Christian Pulisic went through the latest internationals with the USA unscathed and is now set to return for Chelsea in top gear.
Meanwhile, there is no news on Croatian midfielder Matteo Kovacic yet. The Chelsea number 8 picked up an injury in training a couple of weeks ago and he missed Chelsea’s last game against Burnley alongside Croatia’s games during the international break.
Kovacic was expected to be out for just a couple of weeks but we’d have to wait till tomorrow when Thomas Tuchel holds his press conference to confirm the availability of the Croat.
