“I want to be Manchester United manager” Legend says as he turned down mega opportunity in the Premier league.

Manchester United’s legend Wayne Rooney has revealed that he was approached by Premier league team Everton for the role of an head coach as he has his eyes fixed on managing Manchester United.

Wayne Rooney 36, is the current manager of EFL side Derby County, a club in which he was a player-coach before fully becoming the team’s coach.

In a recent interview with the The Sun Manchester United’s legend disclosed that Everton a club in which he grew through the club’s academy approached him to be their manager following the sacking of Rafa Benitez and he turned it down.

“The whole reason in me going into management is Manchester United. I got offered the job interview for the Everton job.

“I want to be Manchester United manager. I know I am not ready now but I have to plan everything I do to make sure one day it will happen.”

The 36-year-old became United’s leading scorer of all time, with 253 goals following 13 trophy-laden seasons.
