Arsenal’s season so far can definitely be described in one word: inconsistent. The Gunners started the league off poorly.
But these last few weeks have seen them climb up the table before slowly falling down once again after consecutive losses to Manchester United and Everton.
Following their 3 straight defeats to start the season against Brentford (2-0), Chelsea (2-0) and Manchester City (5-0), Arsenal found themselves in the top 5 of the table at the beginning of September.
After a streak of games without losing, Arsenal went as high as fourth in the Premier league table.
However Arsenal’s recent away form hasn’t been great, having lost three straight matches in the Premier league.
This has shipped them off of the top four spots in the Premier League, and they’re now seventh place, four points behind the Champions League spots.
Now, Arteta is facing another problem, with the club’s record signing Nicolas Pepe feeling unhappy at the club.
The Ivorian has spent most of the recent league games on the bench. His recent appearances was against Leicester City.
Now, the winger is reportedly growing increasingly frustrated at his lack of playing time and is threatening to push for a move elsewhere if he doesn’t start getting more playing minutes.
According to reports, the 26year old who became one of the club’s record signings when he completed a €72 million move from Lille in the summer of 2019, will evaluate his future with the club in January.
