20-year old Club Brugge striker Charles De Ketelaere has been backed to be a success at Chelsea, if he decides to leave his current club.
De Ketelaere is currently one of the most sought after young players in Europe and he’s scored seven goals and provided six assists in 25 matches.
His versatility and ability to play across different attacking positions is what further stands him out. Little wonder he’s being tipped to be a huge success at some of Europe’s biggest clubs including Chelsea.
According to Club Brugge ex player and top scout Paul Courant in an interview with Het Laatste Nieuws obtained via Sport Witness, the 72-year-old spoke about a potential transfer to Chelsea.
“I’m going to tell you [how high he rates De Ketelaere] right away; very high. Put Charles at Chelsea tomorrow and he will play immediately. Especially, under that trainer [Tuchel] – I know that club and the vision of their coach a little bit,”he said.
“Charles no longer needs a refresher course. He is already a modern footballer – physically, technically and mentally.
“The next step for Charles should be as high as possible. He does not first have to pass a few smaller European clubs. Just because everything is already very well put together with him.
Courant’s recent comments seems just like a normal regular player though as there are no already established concrete links between the player and Chelsea.
