Chelsea trio Mason Mount, Reece James and Conor Gallagher (on loan at Crystal Palace) have all been included while academy graduates Marc Guehi and Tammy Abraham who play for Crystal Palace and AS Roma respectively also make the list.

A lot of players who have come through the Chelsea academy have gone on to represent England at both youth and senior level and Gareth Southgate while speaking in his press conference praised Neil Bath and the Bluee academy for providing so many players for England’s teams.

Of course Southgate’s assesment is a radical departure from Jamie Carragher’s recent opinion on Monday Night Football where the pundit and former Liverpool player claimed that Chelsea have always been taking advantage of other English clubs while poaching youngsters from smaller clubs.

Carragher’s claims of course were quickly and easily rebutted and Gareth Southgate’s latest comments goes further to discredit such claims.
