Every word Mikel Arteta said on Spurs win, Thomas Partey’s goal and Arsenal’s title hopes

The Gunners boss has spoken to the press after his side's 3-1 win over Spurs in the North London Derby at the Emirates Stadium

What did you make of the game?

Really happy obviously. Great performance, a great day. It was an incredible atmosphere to play in so I’m so grateful to the people who connect to the team in such a special way. I’m really happy because it’s an opportunity to get a lot of people happy and proud and I think we delivered that to all of them.

Did your team fully deserve to win?

I think we deserved to win the game.

Spurs had that 10-minute spell at the end of the first half where they looked in control. What did you make of that?

You’re gonna have those moments against Spurs and all the big teams. You have the feeling every time they connect with those front three every time and you have to live with that. But I don’t think that we played at all with that in the back of our heads. You could feel in the players from the beginning the courage, the freedom and the energy to go for it. This is what we demand them to do.
