Frustration within the Man Utd squad is said to have grown lately. This is according to ESPN’s Rob Dawson who reports that this is due to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reluctance to rotate, with some squad players feeling they have been misled about their prospects of playing this season.
Amidst a dip in form that has seen Man Utd suffer back to back home defeats to Liverpool and Man City, some fringe players have been said to be frustrated that they have still not been able to break into the team.
According to ESPN, Solskjær admitted during meetings over the summer that he had “overplayed” key players last season and promised members of the squad that they would be more involved going forward.
The players who were reportedly promised include; Donny van de Beek, Jesse Lingard, Dean Henderson, Anthony Martial, Eric Bailly, Juan Mata, Diogo Dalot and Alex Telles.
These players have continued to struggle for game time at the club with other likes of Donny Van De Beek and Jesse Lingard already linked with a January exit.
This latest reports further casts doubt over the future of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer as his position as Man Utd manager has been under scrutiny lately.
The Red devils head into a very critical period after the international break with games against Chelsea, Villareal and Arsenal on the horizon.
