Arsenal is preparing to sell Leno.
According to the Daily Mail, Arsenal are planning to transfer goalkeeper Bernd Leno after Mikel Arteta ‘left him out in the cold’ following the signing of Aaron Ramsdale.
The German has been Arsenal’s No. 1 since his debut at the club, but a major decrease in form last season and early this season has prompted Arteta to hand over his spot to Ramsdale.
Following a clean sheet on his Premier League debut in a 1-0 win over Norwich last weekend, Arsenal appear to have put all their eggs in the new man’s basket after signing for a cost that might balloon to £30 million.
Arsenal to sell Saliba
During a Q&A session with supporters yesterday, football.london’s main Arsenal correspondent Chris Wheatley shed some light on William Saliba’s unclear future at the club.
The Arsenal defender is presently on loan at Marseille, where he is paired with Matteo Guendouzi, and has excelled, routinely making the Ligue 1 Team of the Week.
Wheatley remarked on football.london, “I haven’t heard anything about Saliba wishing to be sold.”
“The plan is for him to return to Arsenal next summer, after which a decision will be taken on whether or not he will be offered a new contract. Expect talks to start around the end of his loan period.”
