Arsenal will continue to restructure their team, according to Spanish outlet La Razon, by being open to a swap deal with Sevilla of La Liga.
Arsenal intends to take advantage of Sevilla’s interest in Alexandre Lacazette to bring Youssef En-Nesyri in as a substitute, according to the report.
Lacazette’s contract with the Gunners expires in 2023, and if he does not sign a new contract that extends his stay at the club, he could be on his way out.
Sevilla are reportedly seeking for a striker replacement in January, with En-Nesyri competing in the African Cup of Nations at the same time.
Arsenal may be able to benefit from the signing of Serbian international Dusan Vlahovic, after Fiorentina president admitted that the club is having difficulty convincing him to sign a new contract.
According to the Daily Express, the president of the Italian club, Rocco Commisso, has stated that Vlahovic is a difficult player to hold down at the moment.
“I don’t know if he’ll sign, let’s all just keep calm,” Commisso said of contract talks with the 21-year-old.
“We’ve been at it for months, and some days are better than others. I chat with Dusan, who says he’s just concerned with the pitch and that I should speak with his agents; I speak with his agents, who say I must speak with the player.”
All of this could pave the way for Mikel Arteta to profit from a move for the player, but he won’t be easy to get by. According to Sky Sports Italia, Fiorentina has already rejected a £51 million bid for the striker during the summer transfer window.
