Since joining Barca in 2018, the Brazilian has failed to live up to expectations as he’s struggled with form and incessant injuries and according to Sport Witness, the Spanish club are willing to sell him as he’s not giving enough value for his very high wages and his agents have been asked to find a solution this January.

As per multiple reports in Spain, Coutinho leaving Barcelona this January is imminent, and amidst various interests from England, the former Liverpool star fancies a return to the league where he once caught the eye of Europe’s biggest elites.

Rputable Spanish journalist, Bruno Alemany reports that Coutinho would want to leave Barcelona this January in order to get more playing time in the second half of the season to stand of making Brazil’s squad for the 2022 world cup in Qatar this December and the midfielder has made a choice between Newcastle and Arsenal, the two English clubs interested in a January move.

Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal is the preferred destination for the Brazil international and with just few days into the January transfer window, there’s still a lot of time to get this deal done.
