Chelsea have been credited with in interest in Copenhagen young star Roony Bardghji. Per, Sport Witness.
According to reports, Chelsea sent the head of their youth recruitment team to watch the player as he made his Superliga debut on Sunday putting in a man of the match performance.
Many big clubs are said to be hovering around the player and it is just a matter of time before the 16-year old makes that move.
Chelsea are one of the clubs keenly interested and according to reports, the English side are ‘crazy’ about the player and they had even sent the head of youth recruitment Jim Fraser to Copenhagen in early November to watch Bardghji in an U19 clash with Silkeborg.
Barcelona and Ajax are also reported to be interested as they’ve sent scouts to watch the youngster and it could end up being a tussle to get the player.
This interest dates back to 2020 when Bardghji joined Copenhagen from Malmo, though no official contacts have been established yet.
Chelsea are however tipped to land Bardghji and are reportedly interested in doing a deal that would let them sign the player and then loan him back to Copenhagen for a year or two but it’s not clear whether the Danish side would be interested in such deal.
