There have been some positive news from the Chelsea injury desk ahead of their premier league clash with Burnley on Saturday.
The Blues were without some key players when they faced Luton Town in the FA Cup last night as Thomas Tuchel revealed that several players had suffered from overloads after playing over 120 minutes of football in last week Saturday’s Carabao Cup final against Liverpool.
The Chelsea squad trained today and according to Adam Newson; Thiago Silva, Trevoh Chalobah, and Hakim Ziyech were all back in the Blues training today with Reece James and Kai Havertz also involved.
Thiago Silva and Kai Havertz were both rested for last night’s FA Cup tie and Trevoh Chalobah was ruled out after suffering the resultant effect of a dangerous tackle by Naby Keita in last Saturday’s final.
Hakim Ziyech meanwhile missed the last two games with an Achilles injury he suffered in last midweek’s champions league round of 16 tie against Lille.
The potential return of these players would most likely serve as a timely boost for Chelsea as they seek to maintain their charge in the domestic competitions and in Europe.
