Spanish giants Barcelona have been linked with a move for Chelsea winger Christian Pulisic.
And according to Spanish media outlet, El Nacional, Chelsea have made their demands known to Barcelona concerning any potential transfer for the U.S international.
Pulisic has not quite established himself at Chelsea since he joined from Borussia Dortmund in 2019 as he has struggled with incessant injuries so far. The American however has always caught the eye given his abundance of talent. Hence, top European clubs have been lurking for his services.
Just recently, Chelsea’s premier league rivals Liverpool were said to be keen on the 23-year old and Barcelona have now reportedly joined the race.
Barcelona’s new coach Xavi Hernandez is said to be a huge fan of the player and he’s keen on bringing him to camp nou but it would ultimately be in Chelsea’s hands to let their number 10 go and according to reports the Blues have already rejected Barcelona’s offer to take the player on loan in January with an option to make the deal permanent.
The Blues are now reportedly demanding €50 million from Barcelona if they’re to let the player leave and an exchange deal involving Dutch midfielder Frenkie De Jong is also an option if Barcelona cannot afford €50 million.
De Jong is still yet to reach his best levels since his move to Barcelona from Ajax over two year ago and a deal could well present an opportunity to rediscover his mojo elsewhere.
