Premier League giants Chelsea have been linked with a move for Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.
This is not the first time Chelsea are being linked with the Poland international as the Blues were reported to have shown interest in him before signing Romelu Lukaku in the summer.
According to the latest reports, Chelsea could be in for Lewandowski again and this time it could be a swap deal involving Timo Werner going the other way.
This has been confirmed by Ian McGarry on the transfer podcast show who claimed that Lewandowski’s agent Pini Zahavi has offered the Polish striker to Chelsea and Marina Granovskaia.
Ian McGarry: “It is certainly the case that he [Pini Zahavi] has offered Lewandowski to Chelsea and Granovskaia.via CFCChronicle
Ian McGarry: “A move which could include Werner going to Bayern. The prospect for Tuchel and for Werner and obviously for the other interested parties is something that’s appealing and which I understand is currently being discussed.”via CFCChronicle
Timo Werner is hugely admire by Bayern Munich manager Julian Nagelsmann as the Chelsea striker was one of the key players when Nagelsmann managed RB Leipzig and the German gaffer was reported to be interested in bringing his compatriot back to Germany in the previous transfer window.
A swap deal could therefore benefit both parties as Werner could rediscover his lost form under Nagelsmann.
