Chelsea legend back Mohamed Salah for Chelsea return amidst Liverpool uncertainty

Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has been urged to make a return to Chelsea amidst the uncertainty surrounding his Liverpool future.

The 29-year old Egypt international has been linked with a move away from Liverpool with just less than two years left on his current contract.

Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has in light of this current reality urged Mohamed Salah to make a return to his former club Chelsea.

Didier Drogba: “If I am selfish, I will tell Salah to leave Liverpool and return to Chelsea,”

Didier Drogba: “My opinion is that Salah will remain the best, no matter if he continues at Liverpool or if he moves. Any other team would perform better (with Salah) because he understands what he is doing, is good at scoring and creating goals and only needs the confidence of the coach

Didier Drogba: “I do not know what his decision would be. This is his decision alone and his future. Wherever he goes, I will be one of his fans.”

Mohamed Salah joined Chelsea in 2014 from FC Basel but left the club for AS Roma just two years later after failing to establish himself as a first team regular.

Salah has now gone on to become not just a key player for Liverpool but one of the best players in the world.
