Arsenal vs Southampton LIVE: Kick-off time, confirmed team news, goal and score updates

Arsenal host Southampton in a Premier League clash at the Emirates Stadium.

The Gunners go into the game off the back of two really disappointing defeats to Manchester United and Everton in their past two games.

Speaking ahead of this match Mikel Arteta admitted that frustration from the results of those games had effected the mood of his young squad.

“I think we deserved much more against Manchester United, if not a win then at least a draw,” said the Spaniard. “Then against Everton we had periods where we punished ourselves and I don’t think we deserved to lose either.

“That’s the thing, we need to increase the level of those performances and when we have those performances during matches, we need to win the matches and close the games down.”

He will be hoping his team can get back to winning ways in a game against an out of form Southampton who have won just three times in the Premier League all season.
