The 25-year old has less than six months left on his AC Milan contract and according to reports, he is unlikely to sign an extension and this has put the likes of Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle, and Barcelona on alert as they look to capitalize on the situation.

According to Sport via Sport Witness, Barcelona are most likely to sign Kessie as things stand as ‘the two parties are getting closer with their positions on economic terms’.

The report goes further to state that Arsenal have contacted Frank Kessie in order to sign him but the London club’s offer has not impressed the Ivorian.

It is Barcelona who are reportedly in pole position to sign Kessie as even the idea of playing for the Catalan side is very enticing for the midfielder.

Therefore, Arsenal will have to up their game if they are to convince Kessie to make the summer move to the Emirates and they can do this ‘probably by making a better economic proposal’.
