Arsenal told to wait in pursuit of 19-year old Lacazette replacement

It’s no longer news that Arsenal could lose French striker Alexandre Lacazette either in January or next summer as the striker is currently in the final year of his Arsenal contract and there are currently no talks ongoing for a renewal.

Arsenal have now been linked with 19-year old German striker Karim Adeyemi and would want to sign the teenager from Salzburg.

Adeyemi has been in fine form for RB Salzburg this season. With 15 goals and two assists in 23 appearances in all competitions this season, the German sensation is in high demand.

The 19-year old is valued by transfermarkt at €20 million, a price which is quite on the low given his talent and form. RB Salzburg’s valuation might be different and lot more higher though.

Apart from Arsenal, a lot of clubs have been credited with interest in Adeyemi including Bayern Munich and Chelsea but RB Salzburg president has reportedly stated that the player won’t be available until next summer.

This could affect Arsenal’s transfer plans as they’d prefer to get a replacement for Lacazette in January and let the Frenchman leave for a fee instead of waiting till the summer when he’d be leaving for free.

Eddie Nketiah is also another player out of contract at the end of the season. Hence, Arsenal would definitely have to sign a striker very soon
