Arsenal have been linked with a January move for Barcelona attacking midfielder Philipe Coutinho.
Coutinho is currently not finding things easy at Barcelona and has not quite hit the heights expected since joining from Liverpool years ago. The Brazilian is reportedly not in the plans of new coach Xavi Hernandez and could be sold as soon as January.
According to reports per Sport Witness, Arsenal could be a potential destination for the former Liverpool star in January as he’s been identified as a solution to the team’s creative problems in attack.
Barca have reportedly informed Coutinho’s representatives Kia Joorabchian and Giuliano Bertolucci of their decision on the playmaker and both parties have been in ‘constant contact’.
Joorabchian who happens to be one of the player’s representatives is said to have a very good relationship with Arsenal and this could help accelerate and facilitate a move in January.
There’s a strong belief that this deal could happen in January as reports say that both parties have a ‘lot of time’ and ‘predisposition’ for an agreement to be reached.
With the likes of Smith Rowe, Ødegaard, Saka and co already at Arsenal, Coutinho joining in could make things a lot more interesting and mouthwatering in the Gunners attack.
