Mikel Arteta is set to face the press ahead of Arsenal’s Premier League clash against Aston Villa at the Emirates on Friday night.
The Gunners go into the game having salvaged a point against Crystal Palace with a goal in the last minute from Alexandre Lacazette on Monday.
This has created questions as to whether the Frenchman could be in line to start his first league game of the season against Villa after another impressive substitute appearance.
His case could be helped if Bukayo Saka is out injured. The England international was on the end of a hefty challenge from James McArthur that Mike Dean only saw fit to punish with a yellow card much to the bewilderment of most watching.
Arteta will know that pressure is building on him after a disappointing result against his fellow former Arsenal captain Patrick Vieira on Monday, and another poor performance on Friday night will likely be met with disapproval from those at the Emirates.
A win is also important as the Gunners seek to build up momentum for a push for the European places, with a relatively kind run of fixtures.
