Arsenal have been linked with a move for Borrusia Monchengladbach midfielder Dennis Zakaria.
Dennis Zakaria is highly rated in the German Bundesliga and the 25-year old is entering the final six months of his contract with Monchengladbach and is free to start negotiating with other clubs as from January.
The Swiss international is not extending his stay at Borussia Monchengladbach, the club has confirmed and this situation has alerted some top guns in Europe with Borrusia Dortmund being the most keen of German clubs in the midfielder.
Arsenal are one of the teams outside of Germany who have emerged as front runners in the race for Zakaria according to Fussball Transfers via Sport Witness and the English club are said to have already contacted the player’s agents over a possible deal next summer as they look to bolster their midfield strength.
Dennis Zakaria being available as a free agent next summer is a mouthwatering prospect and Arsenal fancy themselves to get a deal done next summer.
Manchester United and Manchester City are also interested in Zakaria but reports say Arsenal is the most likely destination for the 25-year old as the competition for spots in Man City’s squad makes that destination less attractive.
This is certainly one to keep an eye on in the next few months as the player’s stock is still on the rise.
