Arsenal are currently in the market in search of a new striker as it is already a certainty that two of their striking options, Eddie Nketiah and Alexander Lacazette are set to leave the club due to their contracts expiring at the end of the season.
Several strikers including Dusan Vlahovic, Gabriel Barbosa and Dominic Calvert-Lewin have been strongly linked and the latest name being linked is Torino’s Andrea Bellotti. The 27-year old is out of contract at the end of the season and Torino president Urbano Cairo has recently admitted that the striker is unlikely to sign a contract extension. As per Sky Sports Italia via football.London.
“I do not see big chances to extend his contract, but we will see” said Cairo regarding Bellotti’s contract situation.
The latest development is a big boost for Arsenal and they can now pounce on this opportunity to lure the Italy international to the Emirates.
Bellotti is one of Serie A’s most reputable striker and he’s currently valued at £31.5 million and it’s possible for Arsenal to get him for a cut price in January given his contract situation or better still, they could wait till the summer and then snap him up as a free agent.
