Arsenal have been dealt a huge blow in their pursuit of Juventus winger Dejan Kulusevski.
The Gunners are currently on the lookout for new signings in January as some key players are set to leave the club coupled with the African Cup of Nations which some Arsenal players would have to go represent their countries.
Ivorian winger, Nicolas Pepe is one of the players Arsenal reportedly want to sell. The Ivory Coast international joined Arsenal from Lille about a couple of seasons ago for a record fee of around £72 million but has struggled to hit the ground running.
Arsenal are said to be willing to cut their losses on Pepe as they wish to sell him for as low as a fee in the region of £25-30 million and the player has been offered to Juventus in a swap deal for Dejan Kulusevski but according to Sports Mole, Juventus have rejected Arsenal’s offer as they’d prefer to strengthen in other areas.
Kulusevski is valued at around €30-35 million and Juve would be willing to receive that amount in cash from the Gunners instead.
Arsenal might now have to either turn elsewhere and focus on other targets or negotiate on Juventus’ terms for Kulusevski.
