Arsenal have completed the signing of their youth academy graduate, Amani Richards.
The young striker who is 17 years old has officially signed his first professional contract with the club.
Amani Richards turned 17 earlier in November, which made him eligible to play professionally. The player is now under an official contract to Arsenal, and they have provided a statement to update the fans on the news.
The 17-year-old shared his positive emotions on the club’s website. He had been a long time supporter of Arsenal before signing with them professionally.
“It’s a surreal feeling, especially because it’s my boyhood club and I grew up supporting them,” Richards said.
“I had a lot of conversations with Per and many other people at the club and I felt like they believed in me a lot and this was the best step for me in my journey.” He added.
Richards was an influential player for the Arsenal youth team last season. He scored three goals in his first 275 minutes with the u18s.
