In the shooting death of Kemareon Rice, two arrests have been made.
On March 5, 2022, a shooting incident occurred in the parking lot of 1909 S. Mt. Zion Rd., resulting in Rice being shot. According to reports, the individual passed away due to the injuries sustained.
Travell D. Washington and Freiashya L. Ayres have been issued arrest warrants for the crime of first-degree murder.
Washington and Ayres were found in Rantoul on May 26 by the United States Marshals Service Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force.
Washington and Ayres are set to be booked into the Champaign County Jail.
